The RedCoat comic is a spin-off story from Geiger. The character RedCoat made his first debut on Mad Ghost/Image Comics’ Geiger 80-Page Special. In this 80-Page special, Redcoat is introduced, and we get to know about his ties to the American Revolution, Geiger, and the Unknown War.
The RedCoat was teased after the last episode of Geiger (episode #6). The creator, Geoff Johns, expressed his excitement because of the RedCoat, among other projects. The debut of RedCoat in the Geiger Universe opens up new storylines and characters that expand what Image Comics already have.
All these projects set to come out from the Geiger Universe will be part of a shared universe called Unnamed that goes back to the past and also crosses over to the future. For instance, in the Geiger 80-Page Special, Redcoat pops up in the future in the year 2050, but the story tells of when he met George Washington during the Revolutionary war in the 1700s. In this story, the Redcoat is 301 years old.

The Illustrations
Having a solid plot does not only cut it in the comic book world. Illustrations are essential. Furthermore, you want illustrations depicting the characters’ emotions, motivations, and actions. You want to read a comic whose illustrations transport you to the universe you are reading about.
With RedCoat, talented and experienced illustrators have been brought on board to ensure the illustrations do justice to the plot.
Despite The RedCoat being a spin-off from the Geiger universe, the illustrations are not the same. The illustrations used in The RedCoat are stylistically different to elevate the story. These illustrations immerse you and engage you intensely.
